What’s the story of JustAddNoise?

JustAddNoise was created with two major goals in mind. First and foremost, to do what we can to expose music that we think is good but most people leave unheard simply because they don’t seek it out. Secondly, to encourage every one of our readers to support their local independently owned record stores and especially the indie labels that produce the vast majority of music we highlight on our site.

What’s covered by JustAddNoise?

We listen to and write about an eclectic mix of genres at JustAddNoise. We’ll cover anything we hear that is good - from underground hip-hop to punk, folk to experimental, electronic noise to indie rock/pop, country to reggae - and anything in between. If you are an artist, label representative or publicist and would like to submit material to us for review consideration, please see the contact information below.

Where can I buy records you review?

We put a link to the label, artist or other place to purchase the record or more tracks online with every review. The majority of the time, you can buy a copy directly from the label or artist. Alternatively, we encourage all of our readers to shop and support their local independent record stores. If they don’t have what you’re looking for, ask them if they will order it for you. That way the money goes directly to the artists, indie labels and independent record stores - and not to the local Megastore.
